Local band member who dealt with terror attack comments on Manchester

MANCHESTER, England - A member of the Palm Desert band Eagles of Death Metal is commenting on Monday's bombing in Manchester, England, which killed at least 22 people, including children following an Ariana Grande concert. A powerful explosion shook part of the Manchester Arena late Monday as concertgoers streamed out following the American pop star's last song.

The attack was a solemn reminder of the terror Jesse Hughes and his bandmates witnessed when terrorists opened fire on concertgoers at the Bataclan in Paris on November 13, 2015, killing 89 people.

Authorities have identified the bombing suspect in the Manchester attack as 22-year-old Salman Abedi. The bombing came outside of an Ariana Grande concert, killing 22 people.
