Woman taken to hospital after crashing into a stoplight pole in Palm Springs
PALM SPRINGS, Calif. - Authorities responded to a traffic collision involving a car into a signal light pole in Palm Springs on Wednesday morning.
It happened shortly after 8:30 a.m. near Gene Autry Trail and District Center Drive.
An investigation determined that a semi-truck made a left turn from District Center Drive onto Northbound Gene Autry Trail against a red light.
A pick-up truck traveling northbound on Gene Autry swerved around the semi-truck to avoid a collision.
However, a white sedan also traveling northbound on Gene Autry, swerved around the pick-up to avoid a collision and struck a signal light pole on the northeast corner of the intersection.
Police described the driver in the white sedan as a Hispanic female, and was the sole occupant.
She complained of pain injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
