CABAZON, Calif. - Shoppers were out in full force on Black Friday, trying to score the best deals of the season.
Some traveled far and waited in long lines at the Desert Hills Premium Outlets in Cabazon, where many shoppers clutched bags filled with their brand-new purchases.
“We’ve seen a lot bags and a lot of variety of bags. No just high-end but a mixture of all kinds of stores,” said Tina Venetis, general manager of Desert Hills Premium Outlets.
Will all the activity at the outlet mall, shoppers are required to pack their patience.
“Long lines like this one right outside of popular stores like Burberry are par for the course on Black Friday, filled with people all wanting to score the best deal of the season," said Eden Knafo.
Some people woke up in the early hours of the morning for those deals, while some gave up and decided to catch up on some sleep. Gail Denise Talbert drove from Los Angeles and committed to standing in line for a luxury handbag. "I got a lot of Coaches," she said. "I don’t want no more Coaches. I going to get one Gucci. I’m going to have that, and I have Louis Vuitton and that’s enough for me so I’m going to get a Gucci."
There were also shoppers who came from outside the country, like Japan, who went to get their hands on brand-name items.
For outlet stores like Wilson Leather, it's one of the biggest days for business, which means a busy day for employees.
“It’s exhausting a little bit I got to be honest, but it’s fun. The day goes by super fast because you’re always doing something. It’s a nice day to work,” said Camila Alvarado, a manager trainee at Wilson Leather.
