Augustine Casino announces new General Manager
Augustine Casino announced Tuesday that Jef Bauer will become their new General Manager. Bauer is coming to the valley from Colorado, where he served as General Manager for the Reserve Casino Hotel in Central City.
"This is a very exciting opportunity for me," said Bauer, who started his position with Augustine Casino in early July. "The staff works together very much like a close-knit family here, and they've made me feel so welcomed and at home. I look forward to bringing some new ideas to Augustine, to only enhance all that has been established in the past decade."
Bauer brings with him more that 26 years of gaming experience, working for a number of gaming operations across the country. These include traditional Nevada gaming, Midwestern and Southern riverboat gaming, tribal gaming and non-traditional land-based gaming in New Orleans and Colorado.
He has worked for a variety of gaming conglomerates including Harrah's Entertainment, Golden Gaming, Inc. and Majestic Star Casinos, LLC. Bauer has also served on a number of boards including the South Tahoe Alliance of Resorts, the Tahoe CEO Roundtable, the Colorado Gaming Association and the Black Hawk Business Improvement District.
