Officials say an Oregon woman was trapped in her home for four days after a dresser fell on her.
Washington County sheriff's deputies went to check on Virginia Cartier after neighbors realized they hadn't seen her for a while and called 911 on Friday, Portland TV station KGW reported.
Deputies forced their way into the 67-year-old woman's home and found her pinned under the dresser. She told authorities she had been moving furniture when the dresser fell on top of her, according to The Associated Press.
She suffered injuries to both legs and was slipping in and out of consciousness after not having food or water for so long, but was taken to a local hospital and has since been released, authorities said.
Cartier is now recovering at the home of a friend, according to the AP.
