(CNN) -- Doctors in Israel said Monday that they had detected "significant brain activity" during tests on former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, who has been in a coma since he suffered a brain hemorrhage in 2006. The tests on Sharon were carried out late last week by brain scientists, the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev said in a statement.
