Sean Mihajson Guilty of Murder
Convicted for killing Shalonda Morris in 2007
A Palm Desert man was convicted today of murdering a 36-year-old woman who planned to buy marijuana from him.
Sean Michael Mihajson, 24, was found guilty of the Oct. 12, 2007, slaying of North Palm Springs resident Shalonda Morris. Jurors deliberated about two days before reaching a verdict, and sentencing is scheduled for February 1st.
Jurors also found true a special circumstance allegation of murder in commission of a robbery. Mihajson could face life in prison without the possibility of parole. The defendant's twin sister, Vanesa Michelle Mihajson, was convicted in October 2011 of being an accessory to a felony and was sentenced to three years probation and 120 hours of community service.
