A western Pennsylvania woman is accused of blaming a nonexistent twin sister for a theft at a Holiday Inn.

Jennifer Brown, 31, was charged Wednesday with theft and making false reports, the Beaver County Times reported.

According to police, she stole some bed clothes, an alarm clock, a coffee pot, a basket and a hair dryer from the Holiday Inn in Big Beaver earlier this month.

When officers found her at another hotel, she told them it wasn't her and blamed the theft on her twin sister, according to The Associated Press.

Police could find no twin sister. When they confronted her again, Brown told them her twin sister had just returned the items, which police found in the other hotel room, the Beaver County Times reported.

Relatives later confirmed that there is no twin sister.
