Indian Canyon Drive is back open between Tramview Road and Interstate 10 after authorities closed it down Tuesday night because of potential flooding.

Coachella Valley Water District officials say a percolation pond was over-filled in the area and some water dispersed into the open desert.

At first, police were concerned about a levee break that could send water spilling over the roadway.

The road was reopened shortly after 11:00 p.m.
