It's that time of year again: dreaded tax time.  The tax filing deadline is less than a month away on April 15.

If you haven't already filed your 2012 tax return, the Internal Revenue Service  is trying to make it as easy as possible.

At you can e-file at no cost, and if your annual income is $57,000 or less, you get free access to a variety of software programs.

"I would argue if you can get to a shopping cart and buy things online, that with all the things we do with technology on the Internet, you can file a tax return the same way.  It really won't take that long," said IRS spokesman Raphael Tulino.

Despite the user-friendly website, IRS data show 60 percent of all taxpayers hire a tax professional to file their returns.
