A hiker suffering from dehydration was airlifted to a hospital today.

Firefighters came to the aid of the unidentified woman about 9:55 a.m. at Fargo Canyon and Dillon Road in Indio, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said.

No other injuries were reported.
