RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. -

Governor Brown has signed AB 880, better known in the valley as the Bump and Grind Trail Bill.

This measure will now re-open the upper portion of the Mirage Trail, known as the Bump and Grind.

The bill was amended in the Senate Natural Resources Committee to re-open the upper portion for nine months out of the year and be closed during the months of February - April, the high-point of the Bighorn sheep lambing season.

The bill was introduced by Local Assemblymember Brian Nestande and goes into effect January 1st, 2013.
