Four men wanted for serious crimes, including rape and murder, were being sought Wednesday in the Coachella Valley, investigators with the Riverside County District Attorney's Office said.
Iyad Mahmoud Qeimari, 29, is suspected of raping an intoxicated woman he picked up in his cab in Palm Springs. On May 7, 2011.
The woman told police she had been drinking in Palm Springs the night before and called a cab to take her home because she was too intoxicated to drive.
The cab driver, identified as Qeimari, drove her to his apartment in Cathedral City without her consent and undressed and bathed her in the bathroom, according to the Riverside County District Attorney's Office.
"He then took her to his bedroom where he raped her and sexually assaulted her," a statement from the DA's Office alleged. "He later drove the victim home, where he demanded cab fare and an extra clean-up fee. He took her purse and removed all of her cash, about $64, from her wallet."
Qeimari is described as Middle Eastern, about 5 feet 5 inches and 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Juan Hidalgo Aguilar, 41, is suspected of intentionally running over a man at the scene of a traffic collision at Date Palm and Second streets in Mecca on Nov. 25, 2007.
California Highway Patrol officers found the victim, Raul Morales, fatally injured in the road. Investigators discovered that Aguilar's van struck Morales' vehicle, then Aguilar "intentionally ran over Morales after the crash before fleeing the scene," according to the DA's Office.
The van was found several blocks away and there was evidence of Morales being run over on the van's undercarriage, according to the DA's Office.
Aguilar was described as Hispanic, about 5 feet 8 inches and 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He had tattoos on his left wrist, upper right arm and chest.
Joshua Dario Constante, 27 -- also known as Juan Carlos Perez -- is suspected of robbing a jewelry store in Palm Desert and assaulting some women in the store.
The robbery was reported on May 19, 2006, at Estate Jewelry Collection on El Paseo. Constante and another man allegedly entered with guns and ordered employees to open safes, according to the DA's Office.
"During the robbery, Constante cut the bras and panties off of the female victims after binding their hands and placing duct tape over their mouths and eyes. Constante also kicked the women several times throughout the attack," the DA's Office alleged.
The men took a large amount of jewelry and cash and drove off. In October 2011, the second man pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 16 years in prison.
Constante was described as Hispanic, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Ruben Rodriguez Ramirez, 48, is suspected of fatally shooting a man in Indio on June 15, 2002.
The victim, Alex Sims, was found shot seven times near his residence on Hopi Avenue, and died at a nearby hospital. Detectives determined that Sims was last seen by witnesses talking to Ramirez outside Sims' home just before shots were heard. A car in which Ramirez had been seen before the shooting was seen speeding away from the area, according to the DA's Office.
Ramirez was described as Hispanic, about 5 feet 7 inches and 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He had "Indio" tattooed on his stomach and other tattoos on his back, chest and right hand.
