When using a stolen fake ID, be sure it doesn't belong to the bouncer who cards you. An Iowa college student learned that the hard way.

University of Iowa student Steven Fiorella, a 19-year-old who hails from Chicago, faces charges of fifth-degree theft and unlawful use of a driver's license.

Fiorella tried to get into the Union Bar in Iowa City early Sunday, but the bouncer at the door told police he recognized Forella's ID as his own, which he reported stolen in February, the Iowa City Press-Citizen reported.

Fiorella also had a debit card and AAA card that weren't his, according to the Iowa City Patch.

Police said Fiorella claimed to have bought the items at a party for $20.
