THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. -

The trio is also facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly trying to run someone over in a stolen golf cart while fleeing the scene, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

The teens were arrested shortly after 9 a.m. after attempting to rob a home near Sierra Del Sol.

Police arrested 19-year-old Oscar Ramirez-Mungia of Thousand Palms, along with a 15 year old from Thousand Palms and a 17 year old from Indio. Authorities said the person the teens tried to hit with the golf cart wasn't the homeowner they were attempting to rob.
