There is a possible snag in the largest music festival ever to be hosted in Desert Hot Springs.

The Wellness and World Music Festival 2010 scheduled for this October might be delayed, according to a city official.

The city manager is slated to make an announcement Tuesday during a city council meeting on the status of an event in apparent limbo.

News Channel 3 spoke with local hotels in the area, and all of them said they are in the dark on the status of the concert.

The Desert Hot Springs Spa and Hotel said no rooms have been booked during the concert dates -- occupancy is wide open.

News Channel 3 also spoke with the general manager of the Aqua Soleil Hotel and Mineral Water Spa.

She said two weeks ago a deal was made between the concert promoter, Tony Clarke with Tresed Ventures, and the hotel to block off all 80 rooms there between October 3 - 13 in anticipation of the event.

She wouldn't comment on whether or not the hotel was paid to do that and she said she hasn't spoken with the promoter since then. But the two are scheduled to discuss the matter Tuesday.

Famed reggae musician Ziggy Marley is the scheduled headlining musical act, and his website says he'll be there.

But when you click on the link to buy tickets it takes you to the festival website, and tickets are not on sale there or anywhere else.

Yoga trainer Rodney Yee is a scheduled speaker, according to the festival sponsor. But it doesn't mention anywhere on Yee's website that he'll be there.

However, author Dr. Steven Gundry, also a scheduled speaker, has announced on his website that he'll be there both days of the festival.

The festival is scheduled for October 9 - 10 at Mission Springs Park.

More than 10,000 people are expected to show up each day, according to the festival promoter.

But hotels and businesses aren't even sure the concert is still on.

City manager Rick Daniels will make an announcement Tuesday during a city council meeting on where the festival stands.

The meeting starts at 5 p.m. at the Carl May Community Center.
