1992: The comedy "My Cousin Vinny," starring Joe Pesci, Marisa Tomei, Ralph Macchio and Fred Gwynne, opens in theaters. Tomei would go on to earn an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the film. The film was also Gwynne's final film appearance before his death on July 2, 1993, of pancreatic cancer.
