2005: Dennis Rader was arrested for the BTK serial killings in Wichita, Kan. He killed a total of 10 people in and around Wichita through 1991, was particularly known for sending taunting letters to police and newspapers describing the details of his murders. "BTK" stands for "Bind, Torture, Kill," which was his infamous signature. He later pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 10 life prison terms.
