1969: Film director and screenwriter Darren Aronofsky, best known for his movies "Pi," "Requiem for a Dream," "The Wrestler" and "Black Swan," is born in Brooklyn, N.Y. He received a Best Director Oscar nomination for "Black Swan," which was also nominated for Best Picture and earned Natalie Portman an Oscar for Best Actress.
