1969: The Beatles' last public performance takes place with an impromptu concert on the roof of Apple Records in London. The band manages to play for 42 minutes before the performance is broken up by the police because of noise complaints and crowds gathering on the street below. About half of the performance ended up in the film "Let it Be."
