1983: The action-adventure television series "The A-Team," about a fictional group of ex–U.S. Army Special Forces personnel who work as soldiers of fortune while on the run for a "crime they didn't commit," debuts on TV. The show, which starred George Peppard, Dirk Benedict, Dwight Schultz and Mr. T, would run for five seasons before ending on March 8, 1987.
