1964: Marxist revolutionary Che Guevara speaks at the United Nations General Assembly in New York City as the head of the Cuban delegation. During his impassioned address, Guevara criticizes the United Nations' inability to confront apartheid in South Africa, denounces the United States policy toward their black population, and predicts that a "wave of anger" would "sweep the lands of Latin America."
