1961: Actress Meg Ryan, best known for her roles in movies such as "When Harry Met Sally," "Sleepless in Seattle" and "You've Got Mail," is born in Fairfield, Conn. Ryan, who got her start in the daytime soap opera "As the World Turns," has also starred in movies such as "Top Gun," "Innerspace," "Joe Versus the Volcano," "When a Man Loves a Woman" and "The Doors."
