COACHELLA, Calif. -

A man dressed in black with his face covered held up a Coachella business at gunpoint and got away with cash over the weekend.

The robbery occurred at 5:23 p.m. Saturday in the 49000 block of Grapefruit Boulevard, said Coachella police Sgt. Brian Bickman.

The man was dressed in black, including gloves, a cap and a face mask that covered everything but his eyes, Bickman said.

He entered the business, threatened the clerk with a handgun and demanded money.

``The suspect grabbed an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register and fled on foot northbound on Grapefruit Boulevard,'' Bickman said.

Officers searched the area but did not find the suspect, he said.
