PALM SPRINGS, Calif. -

The Palm Springs Art Museum tonight will screen ``Hidden Away,'' which was filmed at the museum and other Palm Springs locations.

The film, which will be shown free of charge in the museum's Annenberg Theater Thursday at 6 p.m., was the first production to receive a grant from Palm Springs' film incentive program. It premiered on the Lifetime cable network in July.

After the screening, members of the cast and crew will discuss the movie and their experiences filming in Palm Springs, and producers and the production manager will answer questions, museum spokesman Bob Bogard said.

Bogard said the Hybrid LLC production company chose to film in Palm  Springs because of its proximity to Los Angeles, predictable weather and the city's incentive program, which includes the waiver of film permit fees and, in select cases, $5,000 grants in the form of cash or services to producers who spend at least $25,000 locally.

Peter Sullivan directed the film about a woman and her daughter who escape the woman's abusive husband by faking their deaths, but he tracks them down in Palm Springs eight years later. Sean Patrick Flanery, Emmanuelle Vaugier and Ivan Sergei lead the cast.

The cast and crew stayed at the Saguaro hotel, which was a filming location.
