PALM SPRINGS, Calif. -

Mizell Senior Center in Palm Springs will screen and assess people today in an effort to prevent debilitating falls as part of National Falls Prevention Awareness Day.

From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Dr. Mark Eisman will give balance screenings and fall prevention assessments, Mizell spokesman Jack Newby said.
