RIVERSIDE, Calif. -

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire dropped four-tenths of a cent Wednesday to $3.68, one day after increasing three-tenths of a cent.

   The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties is seven- tenths of a cent more than one week ago, 7.2 cents higher than one month ago and 5.1 cents greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

   The average price has risen 12 of the past 16 days, increasing 6.7 cents over that span.
