The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular  gasoline in the Inland Empire rose four-tenths of a cent Friday to $3.618, one day after being unchanged.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties is 1.7 cents more than both one week ago and one month ago but 1.2 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

``In the last month, local gas prices have remained relatively stable and most average prices have stayed within a range of about 7 cents per  gallon,'' said Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California.  ``Reportedly, California refinery production is at its highest level for this  time of year since 2010, so that could help to push prices down.''
