The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire dropped Thursday to its lowest amount since June 12, decreasing 1.2 cents to $3.959.

   The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has fallen for nine consecutive days and 15 of the last 16 and is 5 cents less than one week ago and 5.2 cents lower than one month ago, according to figures from the  AAA and Oil Price Information Service. However, it is 8.6 cents more than one year ago.

   The average price has fallen 11 cents over the past 16 days, including six-tenths of a cent on Wednesday.
