A 36 year-old Palm Desert woman is facing DUI charges today after police responded to a single vehicle collision at Portola Avenue and Highway 111 at 8:21 p.m Thursday.
Officers from the Palm Desert Police Department say the driver of a white 2001 Ford Taurus was traveling northbound on Portola Avenue at Highway 111, when it left the roadway and hit the curb, causing the tire to rupture.
The driver of the vehicle, Abel Cuellarleon, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. No one was injured as a result of the collision and the road remained open to traffic.
