KESQ News Channel 3 Anchor & Reporter
Jason Sloss anchors News Channel 3 HD at 6 and 11 p.m. on the weekends. He also covers local stories as a reporter during the week.
Before arriving in the Coachella Valley, Jason worked as a sportscaster at KIFI-TV in Idaho Falls, Idaho, KSTU-TV in Salt Lake City, Utah and KBCI-TV in Boise, Idaho, where he won an award for Best Sports Program.
While he still loves to follow his Dodgers and Chargers, Jason is happy to be covering news and issues that affect you. Whether it's interviewing the governor or a local business owner, Jason believes each story is just as important as the last and he wants to tell stories viewers can relate to.
Jason was born and raised in San Diego and attended Brigham Young University where he played baseball for a year, until his rotator cuff gave out. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Communications from Brigham Young University and a minor in Spanish, which he speaks fluently after living two years in Spain.
Jason and his wife, Jenn, enjoy making the Valley their home and have managed to make it through each summer. They feel it's a perfect spot to be able to visit family and see the rest of what Southern California has to offer.
