INDIO, Calif. - Passes for the first weekend of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival sold out about 30 minutes after they went on sale Friday, according to organizers.
Passes went on sale at 10 a.m.; admission for the second weekend was still available as of 10:30.
The festival will be held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio April 11-13 and 18-20, with the same lineup performing both weekends.
The headliners are OutKast, Muse and Arcade Fire. General admission passes are $375 each and VIP admission is $799.
Other scheduled performers include Queens of the Stone Age, the Knife, Skrillex, the Replacements, Beck, Motorhead, Neko Case, Lana Del Rey and Pharrell Williams.
Advanced registration is required, and camping and shuttle passes were also on sale, according to organizers.
