Splash House music festival in Palm Springs happening this weekend

The event begins on Friday at pools at the Saguaro and Hard Rock hotels and two beach clubs

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. - Recording artist and DJ Moby will headline the second annual Splash House music festival in Palm Springs this weekend.

Splash House is slated for Friday through Sunday at pools at the Saguaro and Hard Rock Hotel and the Hacienda Cantina and Beach Club.

One of the organizers is Goldenvoice, promoter of the Coachella and Stagecoach music festivals.

``It's a great economic stimulator for our city in June. Palm Springs is no longer a sleepy town in summer,'' said Mary Jo Ginther, director of the Palm Bureau of Tourism.

Moby, who has sold 20 million albums, will spin at the Hard Rock on Saturday. Other artists include Alf Alpha, AC Slater, Bag Raiders, Claude Van Stroke, Giraffage, Jason Bentley, Kaytranada, Les Sins, MANIK, Plastic Plates, Purity Ring, Sango, Sweater Beats and Toro y Moi.

Attendees can take shuttles between venues, and admission covers all three days at all three locations, and shuttle rides, according to Splash House's website.

General admission is $103. Ticket-and-hotel packages and pool cabanas are also available.

The inaugural Splash House was held in August last year at the Saguaro, Caliente Tropics and the Curve.
