A second person has died from injuries sustained at a crash on Dillon Road. The age and sex of the second fatality is unknown at this time, but the California Highway Patrol says all five passengers in the vehicle were juveniles.

The Riverside County Coroner's office said Wednesday, Andres Romo, 18, of La Quinta died two and a half hours after the crash.  He was an unrestrained passenger who was thrown from the vehicle.

One male passenger died at the scene after a 2013 Hyundai Genesis flipped on Dillon Road and Berdoo Canyon Road on Tuesday afternoon.  Three people were seriously injured after four passengers were ejected from the vehicle, at least three were not wearing seat belts.

The 17-year-old female passenger was taken by helicopter to a local hospital.  Two others, one a 16-year-old male, were taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

The driver, a 16-year-old male according to the CHP, was taken into custody for questioning.  It is believed he was driving at speeds between 80-100 miles per hour when the car flipped several times.
