Rapper Eve to headline Dinah Shore Weekend

Event takes place April 2-6 at Palm Springs Convention Center

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. - Grammy-winning rapper Eve will headline the 24th annual Dinah Shore Weekend. The announcement was made on Monday.

She will perform at the weekend's main party at the Palm Springs Convention Center on April 5, along with Canadian pop duo Tegan and Sara.

The Dinah Shore Weekend, scheduled for April 2-6, started in 1991 and is billed as the world's largest lesbian event. The weekend includes dance and pool parties and concerts -- past headliners include Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, India.Arie, Ke$ha and Chaka Khan.

Eve's first three albums sold more than 8 million copies worldwide, and was the first winner of the Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration in 2002 for ``Let Me Blow Your Mind'' with rocker Gwen Stefani.

In 2013 she released ``Lip Lock,'' her first album in eleven years. She has also appeared in movies and television shows, including ``Barbershop'' and ``Glee.''
