Perez to give talk on local enterprise zone program


Assemblyman V. Manuel Perez, D-Coachella, will host a presentation in Coachella tomorrow about upcoming changes in the state's economic development programs.

The presentation for local businesses and those work with in the economic development field is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. at the Coachella Corporate Yard, 53462 Enterprise Way.

Kish Rajan, director of the Governor's Office of Business & Economic Development, will talk about recent reforms to the California Enterprise Zone program and revamping of the state's economic development tax incentive programs.

Brenda Voet, of the Taxpayers' Rights Advocate Office at the California Franchise Tax Board, will also speak, and representatives of the Coachella Valley and Imperial valley enterprise zones will give presentations, according to Perez's office.
