Open House scheduled to showcase Elvis Presley Estate

You can see 'Graceland West' on Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. - The Elvis Presley estate known as "Graceland West" was just introduced to the market.

If you want to see the estate in person, an Open House is planned on Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It's located at  845 West Chino Canyon Road, Palm Springs, 92262.

And if you have enough money, Elvis' former home could be yours for $3.95M.

According to real estate officials, the 1946 Palm Springs estate was purchased by the King of Rock and Roll in 1970 for $105,000. He owned the property for seven years and recorded nine songs at the home, including Sweet Angeline, Are you Sincere, Blue Spanish Eyes and I Miss You.

He bought the home when his daughter Lisa Marie was two years old and his family spent three months out of the year there, real estate officials said.

The estate is one of the few Spanish Colonial Ranch properties designed by the famous architect Albert Frey, who became best known for 'desert modernism'.

There are many stories surrounding the escapades of Elvis at 'Graceland West', including shooting out television screens and throwing water balloons at guests arriving at the front door, according to a real estate release.

Once again, if you want to see the 5,040 square-foot estate for yourself, an Open House will be held on Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
