No injuries after overnight house fire in Palm Springs

Officials say items found inside home indicate transients were staying there

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. - Authorities are investigating the cause of a house fire that sparked overnight in Palm Springs.

Emergency crews were called to a vacant house located on 871 Calle Santa Cruz, near Calle San Antonio just before 2 a.m.

Arriving firefighters found heavy flames and smoke coming from inside the house.
