The circumstances on how the crash happened was not disclosed but the motorcycle rider was found on the ground and wasn't moving, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Radek Horkel said.
The motorcyclist, identified as 21 year old Ricardo Sierra Gutierrez Jr. was taken to a hospital where he died of his injuries.
Highway 111 was shut down in both directions between Cook Street and Rancho Palmeras Drive for six hours as authorities investigated the scene, Horkel said.
