Housekeeper suspected of stealing credit cards from employer

40-year-old Ana Corona charged with burglary, ID theft & credit card fraud

PALM DESERT, Calif. - A homeowner in Palm Desert reported a burglary on April 18. Now over a month later, deputies with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department believe the victim's housekeeper is to blame.

According to the sheriff's department, the burglary took place at a home in the 100 block of Chalaka Place.

Following the theft, the victim's ATM cards were used at numerous locations throughout the Coachella Valley. The investigation pointed to the victim's housekeeper, 40-year-old Ana Corona.

Corona, of Thermal, was arrested on charges of burglary, identity theft and credit card fraud. Deputies said she was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio.
