RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. - CAL FIRE says a home in Rancho Mirage has more than $500,000 in damage after and early-morning fire Monday.
It happened around 2:45 a.m. at a home on Carolyn Court near Palm View Drive and Tamarisk Lane.
The home, built in 1962, is somewhere between 3,000 and 4,000 square feet in size.
The homeowner says he was in the beginning stages of renovation, and no one lives in the home.
It took fire crews about 30 minutes to put out the flames.
No word yet on a cause. No one was hurt.
