Couple arrested with 6 kids, over 60 animals living in home

A Lucerne Valley couple has been arrested after deputies with the Victor Valley Station discovered six children and over 60 animals living in the residence under deplorable conditions.

According to a release from the Victor Valley Station, 38-year-old Ronald Mills and 39-year-old Venus Mills were taken into custody Wednesday evening.

Deputies were called to the 9000 block of Chickasaw Trail in Lucerne Valley on a followup investigation at about 4:30 p.m. They said the living conditions were unsuited for children and the animals.
