California Highway Patrol to hold recruiting seminar at College of the Desert

Seminar "highly recommended" for anyone interested in working for the CHP

PALM DESERT, Calif. - The California Highway Patrol will hold a recruiting seminar in Palm Desert Wednesday night.

   Attending the seminar at the College of the Desert's Public Safety Academy is ``highly recommended'' for anyone who wants to apply with the CHP, Officer Mike Radford said.

   The seminar at 6:00 p.m. will cover the hiring process, how to prepare for testing,  the academy in Sacramento and job opportunities after academy graduation, he said.

   People 20 to 35 years old who have a high school diploma, are a U.S. citizen and can pass a physical exam and background check are eligible to  apply.
