Average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas in Inland Empre rises to $2.67

Average price is nine tenths of a cent higher than last week

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire rose two-tenths of a cent Friday to $2.675, one day after dropping one-tenth of a cent.
   The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties is nine-
tenths of a cent more than one week ago and 3.2 cents higher than one month ago
but 69.4 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and
Oil Price Information Service.
   ``Drivers in the western states continue to pay the most at the pump and
this region's average prices are staying steady even as other areas of the
country have seen price decreases,'' said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club
of Southern California's corporate communications manager.
