CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. - The first AMFM Fest, including art, music and film, continues in Cathedral City today and runs through Sunday. A schedule of the events can be found here.
The festival, organized by Film 4 Change, is being held at the UltraStar Mary Pickford Theater and Desert IMAX theater in Cathedral City, the Cathedral City Town Square and other locations. The event opened on Thursday.
More than 50 films will be screened throughout the four days, and there is art from around the Southwest and music in the square, which is in front of City Hall on Avenida Lalo Guerrero, according to organizers.
"The inaugural AMFM festival is a celebration of film, music, visual arts, fashion and all of those creative voices who push the boundaries of their medium and who invoke change in society," festival co-director Robert Galarza said.
