(CNN) -

Ashley Greene is not trying to follow in her "LOL" co-star Miley Cyrus' footsteps - at least, not in her romantic life.

Unlike 19-year-old Cyrus, who recently announced she's getting hitched to "Hunger Games" star Liam Hemsworth, Greene has said that she's perfectly happy being in a relationship but remaining single for now.

"I'm not one of those girls who sits at home thinking, 'By 25, I have to be married,'" Greene, who's dating actor Reeve Carney, told Cosmopolitan magazine in its August issue. "Right now, I'm like, 'I'm 25 - I need to book my next movie!'"

And when the "Twilight" actress does decide to get married, she wants to make sure it'll last.

"[My] parents have such a beautiful marriage," Greene said of her inspiration to take her vows seriously. "I'm not going to get married until I know I'll be with someone forever."

"It's about chemistry and a connection," she continued, adding that she's "changed so much over the past 10 years," alluding to previous relationships with fellow celebs Joe Jonas, Chace Crawford and Jared Followill.

"What I wanted when I was 16, I didn't want when I was 20, and that's changed to something else now that I'm 25," Greene told Cosmo. "Having a type is not for me."

Greene will next star in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 2" this November.
