Ever watch movie aliens attack a major city and wonder "how much would that cost to fix?"
Well, the assault on New York in "The Avengers" prompted the Hollywood Reporter to ask a leading disaster firm.
It estimates the tab for the destruction to Manhattan in "The Avengers" would run about $160 billion.
That includes the physical damage, economic and cleanup costs and thousands of lives lost.
For comparison, that's much more than the price tags on the Sept. 11 attacks, Hurricane Katrina, or even last year's earthquake and tsunami in Japan. It's even more than worldwide ticket sales for "The Avengers," which are "only" $700 million -- so far.
