Love can hurt. But divorce can hurt even more, especially if you are a celebrity. Here are some of the stars' most expensive splits.

Sumner Redstone, the majority owner and chairman of National Amusements, which owns CBS, Viacom and MTV Networks, paid his wife, Phyllis, $100 million after the two divorced after 52 years of marriage. Following the 1999 divorce, Redstone eventually remarried Paula Fortunato, another marriage that ended in divorce. This time, however, a prenuptial agreement awarded Fortunato $5 million, stipulating that she would receive $1 million for every year of marriage.
