The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire dropped Wednesday for the 11th time in 12 days,  decreasing six-tenths of cent to $4.008.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties is 2.7 cents  less than one week ago and 27.2 cents lower than one year ago, according to  figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

However, it is 12 cents higher than a month ago, thanks in part to a 14- day streak of increases that began immediately before the falling prices began.

The average price has fallen 4.3 cents over the past 12 days, including  three-tenths of cent on both Monday and Tuesday.
