The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular  gasoline in the Inland Empire rose today to its highest amount since June 4,  increasing 4.4 cents -- its largest daily hike since Aug. 11 -- to $4.208.
      The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has increased  five consecutive days and is 9.5 cents more than one week ago, 6.6 cents  higher than one month ago and 38.7 cents greater than one year ago, according  to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
      The increasing prices are the result of supply issues, stemming from  reported increases in West Coast refinery exports to Mexico and the continued  closure of the Chevron refinery in Richmond because of a major fire Aug. 6,  Marie Montgomery Nordhues of the Automobile Club of Southern California told  City News Service.
